BHCA was selected as the winning venture of the Belize Emprende Fund, awarded by BELTRAIDE and CENPROMYPE with the support of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Sasha discharged herself from hospital while suffering from pneumonia to present and receive the award — attending the ceremony alone, heplock still in her arm. She was rushed back to hospital immediately afterward.

Mandatory COVID-19 Training for BHCA Caregivers — NCA & PAHO/WHO

BHCA partnered with the National Council on Ageing (NCA) and PAHO/WHO to make COVID-19 Infection Protection training mandatory for all registered BHCA caregivers. The free virtual training ran February 16–17, 2021 and demonstrated BHCA's formal standing as a recognized caregiver organization working alongside international health institutions.
